Small Town RN doesn't have accounts or sign-up forms, doesn't run ads, and doesn't sell or share data with anyone. We measure how the site is used so we can tell which pages help nurses and which don't.

What we measure

We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to record a small set of events:

We don't record your keystrokes, record your screen or collect your name, email or other contact details. We have told PostHog not to store your IP address. PostHog may use it briefly to estimate your approximate location (for example, the state you're in).

Cookies

PostHog sets one first-party cookie, and keeps a matching entry in your browser's local storage, holding a random ID. That lets us see that several page views came from the same visitor, for example someone who went from a region page to a hospital page and then to its careers site. The ID isn't linked to who you are, and it isn't used for advertising or shared with other sites.

How to opt out

Hosting

Like any website, our hosting provider processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don't use it to track visitors.

Links to hospitals

Hospital pages link to each hospital's own careers site. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and what you do there is between you and the hospital.

Changes and questions

If we change what we measure, we'll update this page and the date above. Questions:[email protected].
